Know Your Alignment Before You Run a Single Job.

Misalignment between your color and white printheads is one of the most common sources of soft, blurry, or color-fringing DTF prints. This quick-check test graphic lets you see exactly where your heads stand in relation to each other before you commit film to a production run.

Print it, look at it, and know in seconds whether your printer is dialed in or needs adjustment.

What's in the Test Graphic

  • Horizontal and Vertical Line Sets — Lines ranging from 1 pixel to 20 pixels wide, printed in white over color, so you can see at a glance how much your color and white layers are drifting relative to each other. Fine lines reveal even subtle misalignment that wider lines hide.
  • Text Elements — Printed text at small sizes to evaluate overall print fidelity and sharpness. Soft or doubled text is a reliable indicator of head registration issues.
  • Head Space Guidance Built In — The graphic includes on-image callouts telling you whether to increase or decrease your head space value in PrintExp (the printer control software used on most Chinese-manufactured DTF printers) to bring your color and white layers into registration.

How to Use It

Send this file to your RIP software and print it with no choke applied to the white underbase. Choke shrinks the white layer inward to hide the edges under the color — which is exactly what you want in production, but it also masks misalignment. Removing choke for this test exposes the true relationship between your color and white heads so you can make an accurate adjustment.

Your white ink percentage can remain at whatever your RIP is normally set to — only choke needs to be disabled for the test.

Use it to:

  • Check color-to-white head alignment before starting a production run
  • Verify alignment after a head cleaning or printer maintenance
  • Determine the direction and magnitude of any head space correction needed in PrintExp
  • Establish a quick daily or per-roll pre-flight routine
