UV DTF is a different business from garment DTF. The Aries 213 prints transfers that apply to mugs, tumblers, phone cases, glass, metal, wood and acrylic — hard, curved, heat-sensitive surfaces a garment press can never touch. No heat, no pressure. Peel and stick.

The 213 handles the whole job in one machine: it prints and laminates in a single workflow, with a built-in purifier for the UV fumes. Load film, come back at the end of the day, and the finished transfers are ready.

Why UV DTF Is Worth Adding

Most shops running garment DTF are turning down work they could take. Promotional drinkware, branded glassware, hard-goods merch, equipment labeling, signage decals — all of it is UV DTF work, all of it carries better margins than shirts, and none of it competes with your existing capacity. The 213 is the smallest sensible entry point into that market.

Why the Aries 213

• 2-in-1 print and laminate — the A and B film lamination step happens inside the machine. No separate laminator, no manual alignment.

Set Expectations on Speed

At 7.97 sq ft/hour this is not a volume machine, and it isn't meant to be. UV DTF transfers are small — the 270 pcs/day figure is based on 7.5" × 4" gang sheets. Judge it on pieces per day and margin per piece, not square footage. If you need more width and more throughput, look at the Aries 124.

Consumables You'll Need

UV DTF uses a completely different supply chain from garment DTF — none of your existing ink, film or powder carries over. Budget for Color Prime UV DTF ink (CMYK + White + Varnish), A-side and B-side UV film, and UV-specific cleaning and maintenance solution. We stock the full Color Prime UV line and can put together a reorder cadence based on your output.

Color Gamut Consulting Support

UV DTF profiling is its own discipline. Ink behaves differently curing under UV than it does bonding to a garment, the white underbase rules change, and varnish layer affects final appearance. Substrate matters too — the same file will not look the same on brushed metal, frosted glass and matte acrylic.

We build ICC profiles and neoStampa configurations for the Aries platform, including substrate-specific handling so what you approve on screen is what lands on the tumbler.
