Color Prime UV DTF Ink & Varnish — For Aries UV DTF Printers
Ink That Cures Under Light, Not Heat.
Color Prime UV DTF ink is formulated for the Aries 213 and Aries 124 UV DTF printers. It cures under UV light rather than bonding thermally, which is what lets a UV DTF transfer stick to glass, metal, wood, acrylic and curved surfaces with no heat press anywhere in the process.
None of your garment DTF ink carries over. This is a separate consumable line for a separate machine and a separate product category.

Don't Skip the Varnish
Varnish isn't optional and it isn't a finishing luxury. On UV DTF it forms the layer that carries adhesion and protects the print from abrasion in use — a tumbler goes in a dishwasher, a phone case lives in a pocket, a label gets handled. Skipping or under-applying varnish is the most common cause of UV DTF transfers that look great on day one and scuff off by week three.
Why Four Light Inks
Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Light Black and Light Light Black exist to solve graininess. UV DTF transfers are often viewed close up and on reflective substrates, where the dot structure that's invisible on a T-shirt becomes obvious on brushed steel or glass. Light inks let the RIP build smooth tones with more, smaller dots instead of fewer, heavier ones.
The catch: light inks only work if the profile knows when to substitute them. Built badly, they add cost and do nothing. This is the single biggest difference between UV DTF output that looks professional and output that looks like a home printer — and it's entirely a colour-management problem, not an ink-quality one.
Colour on Hard Surfaces Is Its Own Discipline
The same file will not look the same on brushed aluminium, frosted glass, matte acrylic and white ceramic. Substrate colour shows through, substrate texture changes perceived saturation, and reflectivity changes everything. Garment profiling knowledge does not transfer.
We build ICC profiles and neoStampa configurations for the Aries platform with substrate-specific handling, so you can quote a job from a proof rather than test-printing your way to an answer on every new material.
Warranty Note
Non-DTF Station ink voids Aries printer warranty coverage. Color Prime is the approved inkset.
Important Notes
- For Aries 213 and Aries 124 UV DTF printers only. Not compatible with garment DTF machines.
- You will use white fastest — stock accordingly.
- Bulk pricing available at higher quantities. Ask us for tier pricing.
- Pair with Color Prime UV DTF cleaning and maintenance solutions — UV ink needs UV-specific maintenance chemistry.
